How to place an order

You can place an order with us following the easy checkout system online at www.chairsgb.com or by calling our order line 01206 820200.
Once you have placed an order you will receive an email conformation that states the goods ordered and an order reference number.

Free Delivery

Any order received over £750 (excluding VAT) will be delivered Free of Charge to any UK mainland addresses with the exception of the Scottish Highlands and some other postcodes using our standard delivery service. If you feel you may be affected by these exclusions please contact us on 01206 820200.

For any order under £750 (excluding VAT) please refer to our delivery rates.

Delivery Rates

These rates apply to the delivery of Goods to the UK mainland with the exception of the Scottish Highlands and some other postcodes. If you require delivery to the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Western Isles, Northern Ireland and excluded UK mainland areas please contact us and we will be glad to advise you of our services to these areas.

Overnight Service

If you require your delivery on an overnight service an extra charge will apply to be arranged prior to ordering, please contact us on 01206 820 301 to arrange this. So that ChairsGB can process your order in time, overnight service orders must be received by 10 am on the day before delivery is required. Unfortunately overnight deliveries are not guaranteed in unforeseen circumstances, and are not available for all products.

Delivery General

We aim to deliver to you as quickly and as efficiently as possible. The majority of our deliveries are delivered by ChairsGB drivers in ChairsGB vehicles. There are some cases (Deliveries needed by the customer quickly or outside our delivery area) that we will deliver to you using trusted courier or carrier services. When you receive a delivery from a courier service you may receive a pallet that is securely wrapped by hand. This pallet is wrapped to ensure no damage occurs during transport. The delivery driver may help with unwrapping if he/she has time but we cannot guarantee this service. The pallet that the goods are delivered on will not fit through a standard door. Please bear this in mind if we are delivering on a pallet.

We will contact you before any delivery is made, to arrange delivery. ChairsGB will only send goods without contacting you if we know there is a deadline for delivery that must be met. We reserve the right to arrange delivery in these circumstances if we are unable to contact you.

Cancellations & Returns

You have 7 days (from date of order) to request goods to be cancelled or 7 days (from date of receipt) for Goods to be returned. Goods may only be returned if they are unused, unassembled, in their original packaging and in a resalable condition. Goods to be returned will be collected by us or our agents. ChairsGB reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of 20% of the value of the goods plus collection charges for items cancelled or returned when orders were placed in error or not wanted. This will be deducted from any refund given. Goods to be returned will be kept safe and secure until such time as they are collected by us. Any damage to the Goods will be deducted from any refund given in addition to the minimum handling fee (if applicable) referred to above. We will refund the price of the Goods (if a refund is applicable) to you less any deductions once the Goods have been examined and within 30 days of their collection from you by ChairsGB. Items that have been custom built or finished are not elligable for return unless faulty

Faulty Goods

ChairsGB invest heavily in perfecting our products and packaging our goods so that your goods arrive in perfect condition. If in the unlikely advent you do find your goods to be faulty please email contact us within 14 days of receiving the goods stating what the fault is and we will call you with the best and quickest way to resolve the problem.

Flat packed furniture should be checked before assembly to make sure all parts are there and in good condition, if you have missing parts please contact us with information of what the missing part is and we will send out a replacement part.

As different computers display different tones the colour of the furniture cannot be deemed as faulty. We try to use the best images as possible to display the correct colours we can also send out colour samples for almost all our ranges.

The Environment

ChairsGB care about the environment and aim to source wooden products from renewable sources wherever possible. We also recycle the majority of our waste and packaging. The courier services we use sometimes deliver on Pallets which are securely wrapped with recycled materials.  

Privacy Policy

Contract Interiors UK Ltd Trading as ChairsGB.com takes your privacy and security rights very seriously and are compliant with The Data Protection Act 1998.

In order to optimise our services we may use the information you provide us for the provision of products, services, administration, marketing and risk assessment (including analysing your shopping preferences). We occasionally monitor telephone calls for training purposes. We might share your information with our agents and distributors, and certain service providers to assist with our administration and delivery but will not share your information with third parties other than within the Contract Interiors UK Ltd Group of Companies. We may contact you to tell you about products or services which may be of interest to you. We may also require to transfer your information to countries outside the European Union where this is necessary for the above purposes. If you do not want us to send you details of our special offers or promotions or other marketing information or to pass your information to third parties, you must contact us.

We may search the files of credit reference agencies, which may record the search. They or we may share information about the way in which you conduct your accounts with other lenders for credit granting purposes, for fraud prevention and occasionally for tracing account holders. You have a right to apply for a copy of your personal information and to have any inaccuracies corrected.

Like most transactional sites we may use cookies, which assists us to enhance our services to our customers. Cookies help web sites to understand how users navigate around the site, how often specific pages are viewed and identify what the most frequented areas of a web site. The cookies we use do not collect any personal or confidential information such as home address, telephone number, payment details etc, they are only used for statistical purposes. We don’t exchange cookie information with anyone outside of the company. The most common Internet browsers such as Netscape™ and Microsoft™ allow you to turn cookies off.

Registration

If you wish to register with us you should complete the online registration form giving a user ID and password, which should be kept secure at all times, after which you will become a Registered User. Registration will enable you to have your details retained in our database for future convenience. Non-Registered Users may still browse the Web Site and place orders but payment must be made by credit card at the time of ordering or by contacting us on 01206 820200. The details provided by you on Registration are important and you confirm and undertake that all such information is true, correct and complete in all respects. You agree to notify us immediately of any changes that are relevant to your registration by updating your details on this site by logging into your account or by contacting us.

As a Registered User, you may be eligible to receive details of special offers, promotions and benefits from time to time unless you elect not to by updating your details on this site by logging into your account or by contacting us.

The "Goods" means the items purchased by you from us via this website, the sale and supply of which are subject to these Terms; ChairsGB will sell and you will purchase the Goods on these Terms. ChairsGB reserves the right to make changes in the specification of the Goods which are required to conform with any applicable statutory or EC requirements, or where the Goods are to be supplied to ChairsGB’s specifications, which do not materially affect their quality or performance. Whilst all sizes and measurements are approximate only we will use our best endeavours to ensure that they are as accurate as possible.

Your Order

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the terms of any order submitted by you, and for giving any necessary information relating to the Goods and delivery requirements within a sufficient time to enable ChairsGB to perform the contract in accordance with the Terms. We do not file details of your order for you to subsequently access direct on this website unless you are a Registered User. In addition, we suggest that you print out a copy of all order confirmations for your own records. Once your order has been submitted, we will email you confirming your order. This confirmation email will form our acceptance of your offer and will constitute the formation of a legally binding contract between us.

As a User of this website you acknowledge that any use of this website including any transactions you make is subject to our terms and conditions (the "Terms") below. We recommend that you print out a copy of the Terms for your records.The submission of your order will form an offer to purchase the Goods and our email accepting your order will constitute the formation of a legally binding contract between us. If you do not accept the Terms please terminate this session immediately (if you have ‘logged in’ and have products in your trolley please empty your trolley before you ‘log out’).

All orders that you place on this Web Site will be subject to acceptance in accordance with these Terms. These Terms may be amended at any time by ChairsGB. They may also be extended to include other conditions applicable to specific goods or services offered by ChairsGB from time to time. It is your responsibility to read the Terms every time you place an order. ChairsGB reserves the right in its absolute discretion at any time and without notice to remove, amend or vary the content, which appears on any page of the Web Site. This Web Site is directed towards businesses and it is assumed that each order is placed on behalf of a business. By your acceptance of these terms you confirm that you have the necessary authority to bind the business you are placing the order on behalf of. You agree, by your acceptance of these Terms, that any material, information and ideas that you transmit to this Web Site or otherwise shall become and shall remain the property of ChairsGB.

Non Registered Users are required to provide credit card details when placing an order as ChairsGB is entitled to payment for the Goods before commencing delivery of the Goods. Should you wish to pay a deposit and then balance on dispatch/delivery please contact us for stage payment options. If you fail to make payment for the Goods ChairsGB will be entitled to cancel the contract or suspend delivery of the Goods to you until payment is made in full. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your user ID and your chosen password. As a result, you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under them. You must contact us immediately of any unauthorised use to which you became aware. ChairsGB reserves the right to limit sales at its sole discretion and without explanation.

This website is restricted to the delivery of Goods to the UK mainland only. For customers on the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Western Isles & Northern Ireland, please contact us and we will be glad to advise you of our services to these areas. Delivery of the Goods will be deemed to have been made once the Goods have been delivered to the place of delivery notified by you to ChairsGB and the accompanying consignment note has been signed by an individual aged 18 or over on your behalf. It will be your responsibility to check that the number of boxes or items delivered matches the accompanying consignment note before signing. We aim to deliver a very high standard of service and we will make every effort to deliver the Goods, as near to the specified delivery date as possible, however delays are sometimes inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Therefore, any dates quoted for delivery of the Goods are approximate only and ChairsGB will not be liable for any delay in delivery of the Goods howsoever caused. Time for delivery shall not be of the essence of the contract. The Goods may be delivered by ChairsGB in advance of the quoted delivery date. If ChairsGB fails to deliver the Goods for any reason other than any cause beyond ChairsGB reasonable control or your fault, and ChairsGB is accordingly liable to you, ChairsGB liability shall be limited to a refund of the Price of the Goods.
If you fail to take delivery of the Goods or fail to give ChairsGB adequate delivery instructions at the time stated for delivery (otherwise than by reason of any cause beyond your reasonable control or by reason of ChairsGB fault) then, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to ChairsGB, ChairsGB may: store the Goods until actual delivery and charge you for the reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage; or sell the Goods at the best price readily obtainable and (after deducting all reasonable storage and selling expenses) account to you for the excess over the price under the contract or charge you for any shortfall below the price under the contract.

When you place an order, we may check your record with a Credit Reference Agency to obtain or update our credit information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Risk of damage to or loss of the Goods will pass to you at the time when ChairsGB has tendered delivery of the Goods. Not withstanding delivery and the passing of risk in the Goods, or any other provision of the Terms, the property in the Goods will not pass to you until ChairsGB has received cleared funds in full payment of all sums due.

Subject to the conditions set out below ChairsGB warrants that the Goods will correspond with their specification at the time of delivery. Where ChairsGB sells Goods supplied by a Third Party, ChairsGB does not give any warranty, guarantee or other term as to their quality, fitness for purpose or otherwise, but will assign to you the benefit of the manufacturer’s warranty given by the third party supplying the Goods to ChairsGB. The above warranty will be assigned by ChairsGB subject to the fact that ChairsGB shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, or storage in a hostile environment, failure to follow ChairsGB’s instructions or a third party’s instructions (where the Goods have been supplied by a third party to ChairsGB - whether oral or in writing) misuse or alteration or repair of the Goods without ChairsGB‘s approval. Subject as expressly provided in these Terms, all warranties, conditions or other Terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Any claim by you which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to correspond with the specification shall (whether or not delivery is refused by you) be notified to ChairsGB within 5 working days from the date of delivery or (where the defect or failure was not apparent on reasonable inspection) within a reasonable time after discovery of the defect or failure. If delivery is not refused and you do not notify ChairsGB accordingly, you will not be entitled to reject the Goods and ChairsGB shall have no liability for such defect or failure and you will not be entitled to a refund of the price (if applicable) as if the Goods had not been delivered in accordance with the contract. Where any valid claim in respect of any of the Goods which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to meet specification is notified to ChairsGB in accordance with these terms, ChairsGB shall be entitled to replace the Goods (or the part in question) free of charge or, at ChairsGB sole discretion, refund to you the price of the Goods (or a proportionate part of the Goods), but ChairsGB shall have no further liability to you. Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by ChairsGB’s negligence, ChairsGB shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, goodwill or reputation or otherwise), economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, data, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings) costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever (whether caused by the negligence of ChairsGB, its employees or agents or otherwise) which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the Goods or their use by you, and the entire liability under or in connection with the contract shall not exceed the price of the Goods paid by you for the Goods supplied, except as expressly provided in these terms. Not withstanding the above, ChairsGB’s aggregate liability (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) for loss of damage shall in any event be limited to a sum equal to the amount paid or payable by you for the Goods in respect of one incident or series of incidents attributable to the same clause. ChairsGB shall not be in breach of contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of ChairsGB’s obligations in relation to the Goods, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond ChairsGB’s reasonable control. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the following shall be regarded as causes beyond ChairsGB’s reasonable control: Act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident; war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition; acts, restrictions, regulations, bye-laws, prohibitions or measures or any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority; import or export regulations or embargoes; strikes, lock-outs or other industrial actions or trade disputes (whether involving employees of ChairsGB or of a third party); difficulties in obtaining raw materials, labour, fuel, parts or machinery; power failure or breakdown in machinery.

The Terms may be terminated by ChairsGB, if at any time you cease trading, or become apparently insolvent or have a trustee in sequestration appointed, combine with your creditors, or have a liquidator, receiver or administrator appointed over all or any of your assets other than for the purposes of amalgamation or reconstruction or undergo any analogous act or proceeding under foreign law.

If any provision of these Terms is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Terms and the remainder of the provision in question will not be affected. No failure or delay of ChairsGB to exercise any powers, rights or remedies under these terms will operate as a waiver of them nor will any single or partial exercise of any such powers, rights or remedies preclude any other or further exercise of them. To be effective any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of ChairsGB. If a dispute arises out of or in connection with these Terms, the parties will, with the help of the Centre for Dispute Resolution (CEDR) seek in good faith to resolve it by alternative dispute resolution. If the parties fail to agree terms of settlement within twenty-eight days of commencement of the procedure then either party shall have the option of commencing litigation. The commencement of the procedure is defined as the commencement of the first dispute resolution meeting. The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of Englandand the parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
