When Rajan, owner of Chelsea’s trendy and famous club Rumi approached ChairsGB with his new project in Holborn we were there like a shot!

We were greeted with an existing beautifully styled Japanese restaurant.

The big plan however was to change it into another destination night spot that was to do for Holborn what Rumi does for the Kings Road. The main difference here though was to have it open in the day to offer food and drinks for the passing trade and local office workers both at lunch and after work.

Before

We throw our heart and soul into any project we work on but there is always that extra bit of excitement when faced with the option of working so closely with the owners that our input has a direct result on the final layout/design or scheme.

From the conversations we had with Rajan it was clear that he wanted to offer some things that were that little bit different and not the same old same old. We manufactured some bespoke products that were organically conceived out of site meetings and we ended up with some unique and quirky designer pieces of furniture. These included a dance platform, coffee tables that represented the H of Holborn House and an arm divider that separated the VIP area of bench seating into two sections. All these pieces were hand manufactured in our Factory here in Alresford and you will not find anything the same elsewhere.

Holborn House is now open for business and looks truly stunning, and that’s not just our furniture, Rajan and his team have done a fantastic job making the place look like London’s next top hot spot and we wish him all the success in his new venture.
